Maggie Mae is a very sweet girl. She has been in my family since she was a pup. Sadly at a very early age this sweet girl had her knees go out. I had the knee surgery done and at first things were going great. But after about a month Maggie did a complete 360 and could no longer walk. I purchased the walking wheels and after time in her wheels and some water therapy, she became more mobile. She now only needs her wheels when we take long walks or go to the beach.

Pumpkin is a 12 year old Doxi who was "evidence in an abuse case". When the court hearing was over this sweet senior was going to be put to sleep. Through cooperation and hard work I was able to get her pulled and transported to me. Pumpkin suffers from a heart murmur. Currently she does not require any medication just a good healthy diet and some much needed walks. Because here brother is here, we will keep them together since he is unadoptable. She gets along with other dogs and really loves to just "lounge" around the house.

Ernie is a 12 year old Doxi who was "evidence" in an abuse case, along with his litter mate, Pumpkin. Earnie is completely paralyzed in his back end, he has no control over his bodily functions. Ernie and and Pumpkin were kept in the back of the shelter where nobody could see them. When the court case was over these two sweeties were going to get put to sleep. I found out about them from another rescue who was also trying to help them. Our efforts allowed us to bring them here. Ernie now sports around in his new set of wheels and is a very happy go lucky boy. Ernie requires, diapers, diaper rash medication and a lot of potty pads to put in his "drag bag" when he romps around out of his wheels. Back to top.

Gracie Lynn is a very sweet girl. I have also had her since a pup. She suffers from Severe food allergies and has to be kept on a special diet. She needs her ears cleaned out at least 2 times a week or they get infected, and she has cushings, as we all know there is no cure for this. Gracie requires a lot of care and will remain at our sanctuary for the remainder of her time.

Rocky was abandoned by his previous owner who used to help out at our Yucca Valley location. He loves kids, and was rescued from a puppy mill, but he is fearful of adults. Because he spent many years at this location with his previous owner, we decided to keep him in our Sanctuary. Back to top.
Taxi was born with severely deformed back legs. When she was 10 months old her owners decided they no longer wanted to care for her. So they dumped her at a local shelter. Taxi was kept in a "back room" where the general public could not see her because she was considered unadoptable. I looked at her papers and realized she was due to be put to sleep and I just could not let that happen. So I rescued her. After getting her a nice set of wheel this girl blossomed into a happy little girl with an attitude of gold. Taxi has captured many hearts including mine so she will remain here with me. Back to top.

Molly is a 15 year old Chuhauhau who suffers from seizures and has some neurological issues from it that causes her some mobility issues. Molly was in a shelter and was going to put to sleep, a friend of mine had managed to get her to safety, he even had a home lined up. Sadly when the woman met Molly and saw she had medical issues she backed out. He called me in desperation and of course I took her in. Molly's seizures are now fully under control. She will remain here in the care of the Sanctuary for the remainder of her life.

Little Old Man When this sweet boy was 15 years old his Mommy passed away. The family did not want to be bothered with two senior dogs, so they took Little Old Man and his 16 year old sister to the local shelter. Sadly the sister passed away. Shortly after being separated Little Old Man started to shut down too, but I found about about him in time to save him. Now Little Old Man is a very happy boy who loves to be pushed around in strollers. Happily my grand daughter Lilly is happy to do it.

Noel Noel was rescued from a shelter in Mexico. She was scheduled to be euthanized one Christmas eve. A friend called me about her because she is special needs as her back legs give out on her sometimes and she walks funnydue to partial paralysis. She has a great personality and really loves people

Patch is a very sweet little guy. He was born with a deformity and can't use his back legs. His momma dog rejected him so he was bottle-fed. Several weeks later, when his current shelter realized he was deformed, they contacted us and we took him. At this time he is being kept in a playpen while he figures out the way to get around. He now has his wheels and gets around just fine. When he is a bit bigger of course he will need new wheels.

Teddy Bear
had old back and front leg injuries that were never treated properly so his legs did not heal normally. He has difficulty walking. The shelter he was residing in determined his legs could not be properly treated so he was deemed unadoptable. We rescued him just before he was to be euthanized. Back to top.
Sadie was born in 2006. She has siezures and her current owner did not want to deal with them, so they wanted to put her to sleep. We rescued her so that would not happen.

Maya

When the owners found out she was paralyzed, they did not want to keep her and she was placed into a shelter. Stacey found out about her and rescued her. She now has a set of wheels and get around just great. Back to top.

Honey Bee
Honey bee was rescued out of a shelter in LA. Her owners had kicked her and broke her back. The shelter deemed her to be unadoptable and was going to euthanize her. We heard on Facebook that the LA Shelter was desperately seeking placement for her, aso we rescued her. Back to top.
